Unlocking Clear Skin: The Power of Natural - Parish's Journey

Parish began her journey with acne as soon as she reached her teen years. She tried in vain to monitor her diet and sampled various skincare routines, all geared towards achieving clear skin, and unfortunately, none of them seemed to work for her.

She tried the usual items: Cetaphil, Clearskin cleansers and toners, as well as a variety of spot treatments, all of which were available from stores local to us and relatively inexpensive. These inevitably were a waste of time for her.

With friends telling her they had tried ProActive and had achieved results, she came to me begging me to get it for her. It was expensive, so we had hope that it would work. She got her order, and we followed the directions and held hope that once the acclimation period was over, she too would have the results that people were raving about. Unfortunately, just two weeks into the process and still not being able to use the products daily, she began experiencing a burning sensation on the skin under her eyes.

She came to me in tears asking what she should do. I told her to discontinue use and told her if she wanted, we could attempt to make a natural acne treatment, granted we would need to do some research; it may take a few attempts to get it right, but if this was something she was interested in trying, I would attempt to make something for her. She agreed, and we began the process of researching what the best ingredients for achieving clear skin were, and of course a carrier oil that would be easily absorbed and wouldn't add to the oil production of her skin.

After some extensive research and a bit of trial and error, we came up with our Acne Away serum.

Since that day, Parish has continued to use Acne Away on a regular basis. At one point our family doctor did put her on an oral medication and body wash to prevent acne scarring; however, aside from this period, she has used natural products and still continues to as needed.

Our Acne Away contains the following ingredients, and their benefits, as listed below, are the reasons they were chosen to be used in this product.

Sunflower oil is non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog pores. Its light texture and antimicrobial properties can help control excess oil, reduce inflammation, and prevent acne breakouts.

Lemon essential oil can kill bacteria that may get trapped in pores and cause breakouts. It can also clarify your skin, gently exfoliating dead skin cells that so often become trapped in hair follicles and pores.

Eucalyptus oil can be a good choice for painful acne. The anti-inflammatory properties contained in eucalyptus oil could make it an ideal natural treatment for soothing particularly painful types of acne.

Rosemary essential oil can help with acne-prone skin because it has antibacterial properties and can reduce redness and puffiness.

Lavender oil can help with acne-prone skin by reducing inflammation, unclogging pores, and fighting bacteria. It can also help prevent acne scars.

Frankincense can help to increase the skin's natural radiance and protect it from environmental damage. Its antiseptic properties also benefit acne-prone skin, as it helps to control bacteria.

Each of these ingredients makes up our Acne Away, a product that has continued to be a staple in our household as each one of us navigates our way through life with various reasons for breakouts, such as stress, hormones, diet, sports, etc.

If you or someone you know is dealing with acne and you or they have struggled with a solution to managing your breakouts, maybe natural could be your answer.
